A process serving application pool ‘ExchangeApplicationPool’ error

I ran into the following error :

I also noticed that Microsoft Exchange Information Store would not start.

I found that the ExchangeApplicationPool was stopped : (IIS Admin)

I re-started the ExchangeApplicationPool and after it was running I was able to start the Information Store.
